Peralta faces his former team
Peralta pitched for Milwaukee before joining Tampa Bay. He now starts the Rays’ first home game of this Series against a Brewers club that won both games in Milwaukee. MLB reports a 1.45 ERA for Peralta in seven home starts at Tropicana Field since he joined the Rays. Gasser has allowed one run across nine innings in his two postseason starts. Their announced matchup, rather than a projected batting order, is the pitching information available before first pitch.
What changes in Tampa Bay?
Game 3 moves the Series from American Family Field to Tropicana Field. Milwaukee came back from a four-run deficit to win Game 2 by one run; Tampa Bay now has its first chance in this Series to play at home. MLB notes that this is the first World Series game at the Trop since 2008. Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, also at 8 p.m. ET; later games depend on the Series result.
